After nearly 3 years of dedicated effort by the Moapa Valley Open Space Plan Committee, in November 2009 the Moapa Valley Town Advisory Board and Moapa Town Advisory Board have approved a Final Open Space Plan for the 11,000 acre BLM disposal area! Both TABs unanimously voted to approve the final plan, as covered by the Moapa Valley Progress.

In September 2009, the BLM and the Moapa Valley Open Space Advisory Committee toured the disposal area as covered by the Moapa Valley Progress.
In October 2009, EDAW and the County presented the Moapa Valley Open Space Plan to both the Moapa Valley and Moapa/Glendale Town Advisory Boards as covered by the Moapa Valley Progress.
